A great day at Athletics - September 2022 in SETU

 

Get Active Week

    We had an incredible week to end the school year. Thanks to Ms. Hally and the Parents Association who organised Get Active Week '22. Each pupil got the do Tae Kwon Do, gymnastics, trampolining, GAA, soccer, Irish dancing, zumba, rinka-exercise and movement. 

The week was capped off with an ice-cream for all pupils and staff on the Friday.

Reading as Friends

 Well done to Ms. Keane's 6th class and Ms. O' Dwyer's 4th class who participated in the Reading as Friends program, facilitated but our fantastic local library in Portlaw.

Portlaw v Ballyduff Friendly June 2022

 We were delighted to host our parish neighbors for the first time this June. We played a hurling and camogie match and it was great for the staff and pupils to mix during and after the games.

Annual Cycle to Curraghmore 2022

 Thank you to Ms Hally and all the volunteers who helped make Wednesday's cycle to Curraghmore such an exciting event. It's great to get back to using all the great amenities on our doorstep.

Portlaw NS win the U13 Plate

 Well done to all the lads who trained so hard and won the U13 plate today. Thanks to Kenny Reade and Portlaw GAA for coaching the teams twice a week.

Two changes for Monday 28th February

 Dear Parents/Guardians,

Given the Governments recent decision on pods, bubbles and masks in schools we are making two changes to our covid response plan.

1) All children will start school at 9.10am - children must walk into school by themselves and line up in their class line as they have been doing. School will end at 1.50pm for Infants and 2.50pm for everyone else.

2) Mask wearing is now optional for pupils and staff.

• Classes will still have a designated space at break and lunch times.
• Ventilation, hand hygiene and hepa filters will remain.
