Sherpa Kids Costs

Dear Parents/Guardians,

With regard to Sherpa Kids costs these come in at €6.00 per hour before any subsidy is subtracted. 

Subsidy:

The maximum allowance for parents is €3.75 per hour and the maximum number of hours that a parent can get is 17 hours for Junior and Senior Infants and 12 hours for First Class up to 6th Class Children.  This is increased to 40 hours during school holidays and closure days. 

As a parent you may be entitled to the maximum of €63.75 per week for a Junior/Senior Infant and a maximum of €45 euro a week for a 1^st class – 6^th Class child.  During holidays you will be entitled to a maximum of 150.00 per week, per child.  

The childcare scheme is based on a household net income – please see below a link to the subsidy calculator.  This will give you an indicator to see if you are entitled to support towards your childcare costs.  Attached is a leaflet with some information and if you have any queries at all regarding the subsidies and how they work please do not hesitate to contact Head Office.
